Shadowmist Overview

KageKage’s Face

(Kage is japanese for shadow)

The Shadowmist are people of the dark, working in pairs they train soldiers versed in a variety of powerful dark offensive and defensive techniques.

They are mainly a peaceful society and the main protagonists of the plot, focusing mainly around the four strongest soldiers of each Clan:

Dii GKage (Guardianshadow)

Cii DKage (Deathshadow)

Aii TKage (Techshadow)

Vii SKage (Swiftshadow)

They live in a world based on elements, their village resides in darkness.

The Shadowmist have lived prosperously for many generations thanks to the power of the Kagekage spirit.

The Kagekage spirit is a entity of the purest darkness and resides within the dark dimension, but also a small part of the spirit lives within all the Shadowmist population, some are more powerfull than others. there are smaller shadow spirits known as only as Kspirits, calling KageKage a Kspirit brings great misfortune down on the village, the removal of an honourific from its title is somtimes fatal to the speaker, disrespecting the benefactor of your life by lowering him to the same level as the other shadows, a uncertain judgement is normally fast awaited. The language Kagekage speaks is so ancient, only the other great spirits can understand the directly spoken words, Shadowmist can understand the language through means of their inner spirit, they dont know what hes saying if they are lucky enough to hear it directly but shadowmist subconsiously hear and understand what hes saying, the spoken language sounds like a series of warped howls and whispers.

The Great K has only ever been seen in person by the entire shadowmist population once hundreds of years ago, on year 0 of the shadowmist callender during the warring era when Shadowmist fought a long and terrible war against TeruTeru and her “children” the Skyblind, almost out of options and with half of the village extinguished KageKage emmerged, the awe of its might was unprecidented, it fought for a long time with the Skyblind Light-spirit TeruTeru, she emits Densa-light constantly from her body, a form of “heavy light” which prolonged exposure too is Fatal to shadowmist, the Skyblind soldiers could fire small compressed streams of this energy, being hit by this type of light was out of the question for shadowmist but still half the civilian and military forces fell to it. Eventually nearing death from extreme close up exposure to Teruteru’s body, KageKage tricked the Light spirit into following him into the dark dimension and then sealed her in a tiny Adamantishadow box, the first and last one ever seen. Unable to forgive the Skyblind for their selfish and coldhearted actions, the Shadowmist completely wiped them out, the only trace that they ever existed is the sealed Adamantishadow container left behind by KageKage as he slowly closed the entrance to the Dark Dimension 100’s of years ago. Many attempts to mimic this impenetrable material have been attempted but only shadowanti-steel was reached, it appeared that only KageKage was capable of this feat.

The Dark Dimension is the resting place of the Great Kspirit the most powerful dark being ever to have lived; nobody in the shadowmist village knows how old Kagekage is, it has provided life and strength to all the shadowmist inhabitants since before we were aware of its existance.

This world is like the normal world covered in shadow and darkmist, when inside the dark dimension objects and people from the true world can still be seen but not heard or touched, they also cannot see you, Even for most of the shadowmist this world is just a black void of total darkness only those with a Kage spirit inside them can enter this realm in saftey, this realm can be entered and exited by using any shadow or a Portal, when the light of the true world exeeds certain levels entering or exiting from this dimention can take much longer.

The Shadowmist are uncomfortable in natural light and but remain unharmed they are harmed by high temparatures and Densa-light that was immited by Teruteru and the Skyblind.
